Weddings at The Walled Garden
Our beautifully restored 19th-century walled garden offers a unique space for your wedding day. With beautifully manicured lawns and sandy-coloured gravel paths, it offers a perfect blank canvas for you to create your special day.
With a limited numbers of weddings each year, you are welcome to make the space exclusively yours in the days running up to your wedding, allowing time for the setup of the marquee of your choice and then its interior. The garden can accommodate a marquee of any size for weddings between 50 and 300 people, with plenty of space for drinks, dinner and dancing.
There is lawn space available for your wedding ceremony, should you wish for it to take place outside or for a beautiful Summer drinks reception on a sunny day.
Ceremonies at Newton Don
If couples wish to have a unique indoor location for their ceremony, there is the beautiful dining room in Newton Don House.
Up to seating for 70 guests, the space offers a wonderfully serene and intimate setting. Drive to the front door and be welcomed into the main hall before being escorted into this elegant room with a beautiful view of the Cheviot Hills beyond.
Church Ceremonies
For couples who wish to be married in a religious ceremony, we are fortunate to be only one mile from Kelso, where we have a variety of wonderful churches.
Couples can be married and come back to Newton Don afterwards for their reception.

We have an extensive list of wonderful and trusted suppliers who we are delighted to put you in touch with. This list begins with marquee companies and extends to everything from caterers to florists, photographers, videographers and stationary. We will happily put you in touch with the relevant people to make sure your day runs smoothly.
Marquees
